Art in the Streets
'ART IN THE STREETS" is the new very popular exhibit at MOCA in Little Tokyo-featuring streets artists like BANKSY, KEITH HARING, BASQUIAT, SHEPHARD FAIREY...and so many more......it centers mainly on the scenes in NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, and SAN FRANCISCO.....and LOS ANGELES is well represented with murals from street artists from EAST LA...to street art from DOGTOWN and the whole scene from the Westside.....coming out of skateboard culture in Venice and Santa Monica.......and you'll learn even more about this very creative show this Sunday at 6am on SPOTLIGHT ON THE COMMUNITY!!

Opening of MOCA's "Art in the Streets"
The Museum of Contemporary Art presents Art in the Streets, the first major U.S. museum exhibition on the history of graffiti and street art, April 17 through August 8, 2011, at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. The exhibition will trace the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today, concentrating on key cities where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved.
ADMISSION IS FREE THURSDAYS FROM 5PM-8PM!!
