"Wildfires in Southern California"
our condolences....Our hearts go out to the many families who have lost their homes or have been forced to evacuate due to the raging wildfires in Southern California.........and we salute the many brave and tireless firefighters who have been called upon again and again to spend long hours in massive heat working strenuously to fight back the flames........The Los Angeles Times printed quite a few phone numbers that may be of help.....

See "The Express"! Congratulations to all of our KLOS winners who joined us for another wonderful movie screening last night for "The Express! The movie opens today nationwide and is the inspiring story of Ernie Davis, the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy. It's a tremendous story of triumph, and the cast is terrific. You'll be rooting for Rob Brown as Ernie Davis all the way, and Dennis Quaid as the Syracuse coach is crusty, fiery and powerful. We are so proud to be a part of this year's 50th anniversary celebration of the Dodgers! and what makes it such a deep honor is the fact that by teaming up with the Dodgers in this weekend's Think Cure Radiothon, we have an opportunity to help the many families that are facing the challenge of cancer. Donate what you can to 866-554-CURE! I had the wonderful privilege of meeting one such brave little girl-her name is Natalie, and she is only 8 years old. 4 years ago she was diagnosed with leukemia. Can you imagine the emotions her family went through? She found great caring and hope through the wonderful people at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. She has been through a great deal of chemothera py, but she remains a bright eyed child, with the most adorable little voice. You will get to hear her this week on Spotlight on the Community which airs on our sister station
